Wilson is a Registered Psychologist and full member of the Singapore Psychological Society with over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents and youths of various profiles and their families, in schools, private practice and multidisciplinary hospital setting at the IMH Child Guidance Clinic, Singapore. Wilson has provided psychological services to the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), the Singapore Police Force (SPF), the Law Society of Singapore and at the National Institute of Education – Nanyang Technological University (NIE-NTU). Wilson also serves as the Honorary Supervisory Psychologist of MENSA Singapore. As a certified facilitator of The Alpha Parenting Programme, Wilson volunteers his time as a parenting coach. He has been featured in The Straits Times, Shin Min Daily, Singapore Motherhood and on national television on nurturing intellectually gifted children.
In addition to his professional training as a psychologist, Wilson is also a NIE-qualified educator who is intimately familiar with the Singapore educational landscape and has taught students of varying profiles, ranging from those with special learning needs to the intellectually gifted. He has held teaching, counselling and management positions, including that of a Vice-Principal, in various government and top independent schools, the Ministry of Education (MOE) Gifted Education Branch (GEB), the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and the National Institute of Education – Nanyang Technological University (NIE-NTU). Previously, as a full-time faculty member at the NIE-NTU Psychological Studies Academic Group, Wilson taught Masters and post-graduate students, supervised the training of trainee psychologists, and conducted professional training for pre-service and in-service senior MOE teachers. He has also presented at local and international conferences like the Singapore Teachers Conference, Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness as well as the World Council of Gifted and Talented Children.
Wilson was awarded the university’s book prize for finishing at the top of his undergraduate cohort in Loughborough University, United Kingdom, received The Applied Psychology Gold Medal for graduating as the top student in the Masters programme at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and completed his Doctoral studies in the area of educational psychology (not a medical or dental qualification) at the University of Western Australia with a perfect Grade Point Average (GPA). He is a member of MENSA, Singapore. In addition, Wilson also has specialist training in gifted education, education and career guidance (ECG), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Social Thinking, Autism Diagnostic Observational Schedule (ADOS-2) and Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI-R). He is experienced and knowledgeable in the following areas:

Deborah is a psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Melbourne, and an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Western Australia. Since 2010, she has worked with children and youths with a range of disabilities and special needs, including developmental delays, intellectual impairment, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disorders, and physical and sensory (visual and hearing) impairments. She has provided services across a variety of settings, including early intervention and special education centres, schools, an institute of higher learning, and private practice. Her work as an educational psychologist has included
- cognitive, psycho-educational, social and behavioural assessments
- school readiness assessments for prospective placement into mainstream (primary) and special education schools
- counselling, case management and interventions for students with disabilities and special learning needs
- consultation and educator training in special needs and disability support
Deborah has had the opportunity to be involved in establishing disability support services, programmes and policies at an institute of higher learning. She has also been involved in applied research and national programme implementation initiatives within the early intervention services sector.
